The Magical Kite Ride Children’s Story Book

Written by Sophie Edgar and illustrated by myself, this is a story about a magical kite which comes to West Yorkshire and visits a variety of well-known locations and landmarks, collecting a cast of characters as it goes. 

The story's author Sophie Edgar explains: "I had always dreamt of writing a children's book and when I left my teaching job to look after my young family, I decided that I wanted to turn my dream into a reality. I have a Roger Davies painting on the dining room wall at home: I love his artwork and how colourful it is. Roger had conducted an Art Workshop at the school where I worked, and the children there all loved his work too. I emailed Roger to see if he would be interested in illustrating a book for children, and after one quick video call, I began to write the first few lines of a new story called The Magical Kite Ride.”
